The Ritz Carlton - Battery Park

Nicest luxury hotel in Lower Manhattan.  The top-of-the-line Ritz Carlton Suites are incredible with magnificent views of the harbor.  Other rooms also beautiful and well appointed.  

Embassy Suites New York
102 North End Ave- 212-945-0100
Closest hotel, just a stone's throw from north side of marina.  All rooms are suites.  Comfortable.  Only challenge is that world headquarters of Merrill Lynch & American Express are right next door and the hotel has been purchased by Goldman Sachs.  So getting a room can be challenging during the week.

New York Marriott Downtown

Very nice hotel usually with enough capacity to provide a room.  Located on the opposite side of the West Side Highway so walk to and from the marina is not the most glamorous.  Still, a very good choice, close and comfortable place to stay.

There is also a new hotel on the West Side Highway which adjoins the former WTC site. They are offering very good introductory rates.  www.worldcenterhotel.com/neighbor/
