Sir Martin II LOA: 90' She is a former naval training vessel built in Holland in 1978.
Sailing aficionados would be able to tell you she
is a "gaff rigged ketch."
A study of the nautical flags in her rigging will
reveal the Texas state flag where the owner is from.
Forward on starboard lower is the owner's Irish
coat of arms. On port are two flags representing numerals 7 & 8 for
the year of build. Higher up are flags from Useppa Island and Marco
island, both in Florida.
Sir Martin II has sailed up from Florida and will
be cruising in New England this summer.
Arrived at North Cove: July 28, 2006 |
